TrackNote (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a music note-taking app that lets you save music links with a short note and tags. This policy explains what data the app handles.
Summary
TrackNote has no accounts and no servers. Everything you save stays on your device. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data.
Data stored on your device
When you save a track, the app stores locally on your device only: the music link, an optional note and tags, basic track info (title, artist, cover image URL) for display, and timestamps / archive status. This data is never transmitted to us, and we have no access to it.
Information sent to third parties
To show a track’s title and cover image, the app sends the saved music link to the corresponding platform’s public oEmbed service (for example, Spotify) to retrieve that public information. In addition, the track’s cover image is loaded directly from the music platform’s servers or content delivery network (CDN) when a card is displayed. These requests go directly from your device to that platform and are subject to that platform’s own privacy policy (e.g. Spotify). The app does not send your notes, tags, or any personal identifiers — only the public track link and image request needed for display.
Data we collect
None. TrackNote contains no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.
Permissions
The app uses internet access only to fetch the public track information and cover images described above, and to open links in the original app or browser.
Data storage and backup
Your saved tracks are kept in local app storage only. TrackNote does not use cloud sync or Android auto-backup, so your data is not copied off your device by the app. You can delete any saved track inside the app (Archive → Delete). Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data from your device.
Children
TrackNote is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from children.
Affiliation
TrackNote is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Spotify or any other music platform. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
